For love, not money
Shameless was formed in February 2002 by principal Glen Erickson. After years of work building, promoting and participating in the local independent music scene, Erickson decided to put those efforts together under one name and mission, and so Shameless was born.
Shameless exists to bring life to the original vision. That simply means giving priority and respect to the artist and the art. We are in the business of music. We do the business, they do the music. We have nothing without the artist or the art. In a market owned primarily by four or five conglomerates we are intentionally independent. Money does not prevent us from creating art, nor does it define our success. Shameless brings support to the artist(s) looking to fashion a career for themselves, aiding them in creating the building blocks needed while retaining creative vision and control of their art. It is a different way of doing business that puts the artist first before the business. The artists are friends, family even. It’s a new community that is growing, with sights set on success, in whatever form that takes.
