We are happy to announce the release of “2010–1982”, and welcome Chris Wynters to the Shameless family. Chris is long time and founding member of Captain Tractor, a Canadian legend out of Edmonton from the 90’s into the new millenium. This is Chris’s second solo effort and we are happy to be working with him.
The evolution of this record is so great. In the beginning was Chris and his mates recording a lot of songs; a lot of 1980’s cover songs, along with the original material Chris has written over the past few years. But what do you do with all those diverse songs? Perhaps a double album. Well that became too ambitious. A split album? What does that mean in the modern age? How about one great record that takes turns between original and cover? Perfect. Six great songs written by Chris, and six great, if not pleasantly obscure-but-cool, cover songs from the 80’s.
Chris is a great artist. His contributions and producer are all over the Shameless catalog. His footprint on the theatre community in Edmonton, as well as the music community, is huge. And there is a new Captain Tractor record in the works. We are really pleased to be associated with a pillar of strength in our town. Welcome, Chris.
