Shameless has woken from its winter slumber (with apologies) with some gusto. We are happy to announce one new artist, one re-branded artist, and four new releases to look forward to in the coming months. Let’s break it down!

The Wheat Pool (June 22/2010)

The Wheat Pool are releasing an accompanying EP to their successful Hauntario recording from late 2009. The EP will feature their rendition of Neil Young’s “Helpless”, along with a handful of unreleased material, both new and alternates and covers, from the Hauntario sessions. The EP will be available by download only, so stay tuned for details.

Greg Amundson (July 13/2010)

(formerly Hector Fector)
Greg was the creative force behind HF, and is returning under his own name with White White, a heavily electronic and textured recording, in time for late summer drives with the top down. Greg will be following up with a tour of Eastern Canada. Dates available now.

Chris Wynters (August 3/2010)

Chris joins the Shameless family after calling Toronto’s Six Shooter home for the past few years. Chris has built a career for himself with the long-running fun-band Captain Tractor, and will be releasing his second solo adventure with us this summer, entitled 2010–1982. The record is a perfect balance of originals and covers. Recorded at Wynters’ own Norwood Studios, home to Chris’ production work on many other Shameless artist’s records (The Wheat Pool, James Murdoch Band, Deon Blyan, Amy Seeley).

F&M (October 2010)

The husband and wife plus others band will be returning to carve their niche out deeper, with an earnest effort aptly titled Sincerely, F&M. The record continues to expand their songwriting and musicianship, and handsomeness.
